Valkyrae accuses Jason Mamoa of ‘mistreating’ crew while filming A Minecraft Movie

Aquaman star Jason Momoa allegedly lost his cool while filming an intense scene in A Minecraft Movie, according to YouTube streamer Valkyrae.

Although the first trailer for A Minecraft Movie hasn’t gone done well with most adult fans, at least it has a star-studded cast, including Jack Black as Steve, Saturday Night Live’s Kate McKinnon, and Aquaman Jason Momoa.

YouTube streamer Valkyrae, who often livestreams playing video games and has amassed over 4 million subscribers on the platform, is also attached, although in a much smaller role.

The YouTuber, however, was not impressed by how Momoa treated those around him during an intense scene, saying she saw him ‘mistreat some of the crew’.

Valkyrae recently appeared on JasonTheWeen’s Twitch stream, where she was asked what her worst celebrity or streamer experience was.

‘I would have to say Jason Momoa, Valkyrae said, adding, ‘I just saw him mistreat some of the crew, and it was pretty disappointing.

‘It was after a very intense scene, and it was a very emotional scene, so maybe he was still in character, I don’t know, but I was just kind of surprised by how he treated some of the crew.’

Valkyrae elaborated, saying, ‘He was just really mad at them that they weren’t doing something right. It was like setting up the shot and stuff and he was just angry, like really mad and yelling.

‘I was like, this is not a good work environment, like I would not be happy working under these conditions.’

All that is known about Valkyrae’s role in A Minecraft Movie is that it’s a cameo, similar to other cameos in movies that she has done in the past.

She had a small role in Michelle Monaghan and Mark Wahlberg’s The Family Plan and voiced Commander Red in four Sonic Prime episodes, while also appearing in two Bella Porch music videos.

Valkyrae is not the only streamer to have made it into Hollywood films in recent years, as fellow YouTuber Pokimane, Ninja, and Jacksepticeye had cameos in Ryan Reynold’s Free Guy.

Although it doesn’t look very good based on the first trailer, A Minecraft Movie should still do better than the Borderlands film, another video game adaptation, which tanked when it came out in August.
